Full Description:-Responsible for engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with areas within the telecommunications function (e.g., network design, engineering, implementation, diagnostics or operations/user support). Monitors the operation of telecom network systems. Performs complex tasks relating to telecom network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations. The scope of responsibility for this position includes, but is not limited to, the configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and trouble-shooting of telecommunications network components to provide a secure, high performance network. Duties also entail quality assurance and testing of transmission mediums and infrastructure components. Serves as technical specialist/lead on a functional basis, for the resolution of complex network problems. Experience should include: moves, adds and changes, fault isolation and resolution, and end-user support. Requires broad knowledge of telecom systems, dial plans, switching architecture, telephony and wiring.
